On Christmas day, in 2002, Sasha Hedgecock was discovered in an alfalfa field in Carlsbad. The 21-year-old woman had been shot seven times. It’s official! Budget travel has named Sykesville, Maryland the coolest small town in America for 2016. With 44.3 percent of votes, Sykesville won in a landslide when compared to other towns in the running, including the not too distant Abingdon, Virginia.
