Huntington Gorge is one of the most beautiful spots in Vermont, and it’s also one of the most deadly. Dozens of people have died at this rocky spot that still has people daring to swim in it despite the many warnings. We don’t recommend tempting fate by entering the waters, but the gorge itself is GORGEous. Not far from a place called Booger Hollow (population: 7, countin’ 1 old coon dog) lies Dogpatch USA, an abandoned hillbilly theme park nestled in the hills of the Ozarks that once created memories for thousands of families across the U.S. The park was the vision of O.J. Snow, who bought land in the Ozarks on Highway 7 between Jasper and Harrison, Arkansas. Snow realized the layout of the land closely resembled the area featured in the popular comic strip “Li’l Abner,” so he decided to bring the fantasy world to life....

The Boyd County Jail in Butte, NE has seen busier days. Although Boyd County has never been a hotbed of criminal activity, this jail now sits empty and unused. It all started in 1978. The owner of a historic Victorian house in Kenova, West Virginia decided to decorate for Halloween with 5 pumpkins. Over the years, the number of pumpkins grew, until soon there were over 3000 pumpkins each year! The house became a tourist attraction, and soon the whole town got into the spirit of Halloween.
