New Jersey’s beautiful Buttermilk Falls are located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The 200′ waterfall is the tallest in the state, and the surrounding area is absolutely breathtaking. You don’t need to be an avid hiker to enjoy the view, the falls are located right near the parking area and the gravel road right up to the base is wheelchair accessible. Many prairie towns grew up with the trains and died when the trains stopped rumbling through the station. Others grew up with the cattle and agriculture and died when the droughts (or Dust Bowl) hit. Have you ever heard of a fire rainbow? Yeah, it’s a quirky thing. We found this neat video of a fire rainbow cloud in Tennessee, and we simply COULDN’T keep it to ourselves.
