Flowers are beginning to bloom around the Garden State and New Jersey is coming alive with color. While we have many gorgeous gardens to enjoy these flowers, one place stands out. Why? Because while you can absolutely stroll flower fields, there’s so much more to do.
Terhune Orchards is a beautiful farm located in Princeton, New Jersey.
Yelp/Mike O.
You may already be familiar with the orchards as they are a popular apple picking destination each autumn.
Facebook/Terhune Orchards They actually offer 34 varieties of apples which are available year-round.
But apples are far from being the only crop you can pick here!
Yelp/Maria P. Pick your own blackberries, blueberries, cherries and strawberries! You can also pick pumpkins at the Cold Soil Road location when they’re in season.
And that’s still not all! You can pick your own flowers here, as well.
Facebook/Terhune Orchards
Pick your own flower season runs from late June through October.

They also sell pre-made bouquets but I think it’s more fun to pick your own.

Terhune Orchards is absolutely lovely all year long. It’s definitely not just a fall destination.

Another year-round draw? The winery!
Facebook/Terhune Orchards From noon to 5 p.m., Friday - Sunday, stop in for a tasting. $5 gets you five samples and an extra $3 will score you a souvenir wine glass. The winery itself hosts special events like live music and wine and chocolate weekends.
And we can’t forget about the farm store.
Yelp/Christy C. You’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables, jellies and jams and delicious baked goods. Their donuts are a favorite.
Don’t forgot to stop and say hi to the animals.
Yelp/Christina R./iamcristina.tumblr.com Bring quarters and buy them treats. You can feed the animals yourself! You’ll see sheep, goats, ducks, geese, chickens and Mexicali, the horse.
In addition to winery events, the orchard also hosts family-friendly events.
Facebook/Terhune Orchards Kite Day is coming up on May 6th. Bring, buy or make a kite, play games, take a wagon ride, watch the sheep being sheared, enjoy yummy food and listen to live music.
