If you have ever traveled east on I-70, you may (or may not) remember passing the tiny town of Deer Trail, which sits a mere 59 miles away from the heart of the city. Known as the “Home of the World’s First Rodeo,” Deer Trail is home to nearly 550 friendly residents, as well as a few restaurants, gas stations, and shops. What you may not realize about this small Eastern Plains town, however, is that it hides an old Titan I Missile Silo.

Launched during the Cold War, the Titan I was the first Intercontinental Ballistic Missile of its kind that was in use from 1961 to 1965.
