Just below our westernmost Finger Lakes and only an hour and a half away from Buffalo, there’s a state park that holds true beauty you’ll want to see for yourself.

Located in the town of Dansville out in Livingston County is the magical Stony Brook State Park.

The park is made up of amazing trails that take you along the gorge, secluded campsites and tables that are perfect for enjoying a picnic.

While exploring the beautiful trails you’ll discover three major waterfalls along the Stony Brook creek, all of which will steal your breath away.

But one of our favorite things to enjoy along the creek is the state park’s natural swimming pool.

The pool is open to visitors through Labor Day and keeps cold temperatures that you would expect to find in spring-fed pools.
