With temperatures in the 80s and 90s this week in West Virginia, the thought of a snowy day sounds refreshing. But as we know, as those snowy days add up and the inches pile up on the roads, winter can get tiresome fast. Farmer’s Almanac, America’s classic source for future weather predictions, has just released their forecast for the upcoming winter. Fortunately, it looks like we’ll have a nice mix of mild and snowy days!

While we can expect some ice and snow in West Virginia this winter, overall temperatures will be a bit more mild than usual.

We have plenty to do in the snow in West Virginia! Make the most of the cold season at Blackwater Falls State Park, where you can try the longest sled run in the Eastern US, or see a frozen waterfall.
