Way down in the south east corner of the state, nearly to the Illinois border, there’s a unique and awesome fair that takes place every weekend from July to Labor Day. The Bristol Renaissance Faire is celebrating 30 years this season and it has been voted the best renaissance faire in the country for the past six years running.
The Faire recreates a visit of Queen Elizabeth I to the English port city of “Bristol” in the year 1574. The whole thing takes place outdoors, rain or shine, on 30 acres featuring 20 stages of entertainment. With everything from a full queen’s court to strolling minstrels and jousting, you’ll find something for everyone in your family to love.
The Bristol Renassaince Faire has its own huge property just north of the state line. With 30 acres of space, you’ll never run out of things to see or do here.
