The Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence has a long history – it’s been burned down, rebuilt and renovated several times over. The historic hotel has had its ups and downs over the years, but today it is a beautiful, thriving hotel that patrons love visiting. Unless, of course, they visit room 506.

On August 21, 1863, William Clarke Quantrill and his 400 thugs attacked the town of Lawrence.
