By day, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa is a magical and luxurious vacation destination. By night, it is one of the best places to watch the stars glisten overhead in Hawaii – and maybe even the world. Located on Ka’anapali Beach, this Maui resort was named the best hotel in the world for stargazing by CNN Travel. And after looking at some of the incredible nighttime views captured from the hotel’s roof, we’d have to agree.
The one-hour “Tour of the Stars,” held on the ninth-floor roof of one of the hotel’s buildings, is led by the Hyatt’s in-house director of astronomy and makes this luxury hotel much more unique than most of the resorts you’ll find in Hawaii.

Don’t get us wrong, the Hyatt Regency Maui’s grounds are absolutely stunning during the day, but there’s something incredibly magical about watching the sun slowly slip into the horizon and watching the night sky slowly become illuminated by stars.

Guests can view the night sky through high-tech telescopes and astronomy binoculars, but the night sky as seen with the naked eye is quite incredible as well.

The tour is scheduled nightly for 8 and 9 p.m. subject to weather, and costs $25 for adults, $15 for children, and $30 for non-guests.
