We’re lucky to have so much natural beauty in our state, and we have plenty of hiking trails to help us fully appreciate that beauty. Some trails are more popular than others, and some don’t get the attention they deserve. Here’s one hike that’s incredibly gorgeous – but also underrated. Take a look!
The Junction and Breakwater Trail stretches between the towns of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.

It’s a 6.4-mile rail trail that allows you to hike or bike, and is wheelchair and stroller accessible, so it’s perfect for everyone in the family.

There are three parking lots to choose from to access the trail: Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes; Wolfe Junction at the roughly halfway mark; or the Tanger Outlet Center at Rehoboth Beach.
