We don’t have too many museums in New Hampshire, but the ones we do have are unique to say the least. The Libby Museum in Wolfeboro is a little creepy, a lot interesting, and well worth a visit. Check it out!
The Libby Museum in Wolfeboro is a museum of natural history that has been around for more than 100 years. It somehow seems even creepier when you consider that everything in the museum was from the private collection of a dentist named Henry Libby.

Some of the exhibits might give you quite the fright. The museum is home to a stuffed polar bear, black bear, coyote and more.

It also has some creepy artifacts like the skeleton of the last rattlesnake on Rattlesnake Island in Lake Winnipesaukee. There’s even a pair of mummy hands in the collection!

But when you look at it in a different light the Libby Museum doesn’t seem too creepy after all.

It’s just a place filled to the brim with some downright interesting artifacts that you’re unlikely to find anywhere else in New Hampshire.

The Libby Museum also host educational programs for local students, teaching them about everything from life in colonial days to New Hampshire’s Native Americans.

All this to say that the Libby Museum is well worth a visit. You never know what you might find!
