The saying “everything is bigger in Texas” really does apply to everything in our state – food, festivities, and even nature. We have the second largest canyon in the country, some of the biggest mountain ranges, and one of the largest forests in the entire WORLD…and it isn’t even on dry land. This cypress forest in Caddo Lake (the only natural lake in Texas, might I add) looks like something straight out of a fairytale with the wispy moss hanging from the branches. It’s the perfect place to find your inner peace among the stillness of the trees.

Sitting on the edge of the pier, gazing out into a lake full of towering trees…is there anything more peaceful?

You can spend the day watching the leaves fall from the trees one by one and gracefully hit the water…

Or weave through the majestic plants in your kayak as you gaze up at them from underneath and admire their complex network of branches.

No matter how you choose to spend your time here, know that a trip to Caddo Lake is a day well spent…

And you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated, at peace, and ready to take on anything life throws at you.

Isn’t nature just the best? Oh, wait. Let me rephrase that. Isn’t TEXAS nature just the best?
