Just off of the road in the small village of Speculator, you’ll discover a natural attraction that has visitors scratching their heads.
Roughly 15-feet deep and 8-feet wide, this small cave hiding up in the Adirondacks has been a longtime mystery.

To get to Kajamuk Cave from Elm Lake Road, you’ll walk about 1.8 miles along a dirt road.

A wooden bridge in recent years was built on the path, allowing visitors to drive most of the way up to the cave as opposed to walking. While this may seem like the better option of travel, we suggest taking the quick so you can soak in the beauty of the Adirondacks!
Rumor has it, the well-known hermit of New York, Louis Seymour supposedly stayed inside of Kunjamuk Cave several times.
