Because the oldest amusement park in America is none other than Lake Compounce! The park is located at 186 Enterprise Drive, Bristol, Connecticut 06010.

The large waterfront park opened, originally as a picnic park, in 1846. Though ownership has changed over the years, the park has never closed.

The park has campgrounds, where you can park your RV, rent a cabin, or opt for the teepee experience. That way you can spend a whole weekend enjoying the rides.
