As the weather gets nicer in the Beehive State, it’s finally time to get out of the house and back onto the hiking trails! March is a great time of year to visit Bryce Canyon National Park, and this enchanting hike is one of the best ways to see hoodoos up close.

The Queen’s Garden Trail starts at Sunrise Point.

Carrie L./TripAdvisor The hike is 1.8 miles, round trip.

One hoodoo is supposed to look like a statue of Queen Victoria - this is where Queen’s Garden got its name.

yelenaza/TripAdvisor Can you see her?

Queen Victoria sits high above her garden.

silvia_fete_12/TripAdvisor If you really use your imagination, you might see her, riding a horse, with her dress spread out behind her.

This trail is typically accessible starting as early as March, but you’ll want to check with the Visitor Center before heading out.

Richard C./TripAdvisor The trail sometimes closes if there’s snow or ice.

On hot days, make sure to bring plenty of water.
