This small plot of land was once slated for development. Fortunately, the residents had a better idea. Built in 1973, this San Francisco park has the ability to bring out the kid in anyone. That’s because it’s main attraction is a pair of slides built right into the hill, a genius idea designed by a 14-year-old named Kim Clark. The Seward Mini Park and slides are a true hidden gem, tucked away in a residential part of the Castro neighborhood.
The slides are located at 30 Seward Street, San Francisco, 94114
The slides are in Corwin Community Garden and Seward Mini-Park at the intersection of Seward Street and Douglass Street.

Fun is the name of the game on these slides! All you need to bring to the Seward Slides is your sense of childish abandon.

Make sure the slides are open before you venture here. The slide hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 to 5 and closed Mondays.

The slides are short and quite steep, but it’s not dangerous because the sides are too high to fall out.

Bring cardboard, if you can, to use going down the slide, and wear sturdy pants. Also, figure out whether it is better with or without sand on the slide.

Remember, the point is to feel like a kid again. But, when you’re going down the slide make sure to hold your arms up or in! An elbow scrape is not fun.
