This Weeping Woman statue at Riverview Cemetery in Parkersburg watches over the plots of the Jackson family. The family was related to famous Civil War General Stonewall Jackson.

People say during a full moon, the woman gets up and walks around the cemetery, pacing and mourning over the lives lost in the War Between the States.

One legend says the Weeping Woman grants wishes for women who are truly pure in heart. Woman have claimed to touch the statue and had children within the year.
