When the temperatures are on the rise, there’s no better way to cool off than taking a dip in a local swimming spot. When it comes to the swimming spot, the clearer the water, the better. There is one spot in Wyoming where the water stands out as being some of the most pristine in the state.

Flickr/Billy Gast Jenny Lake was named after a Shoshone Native American woman. The Native American woman, whose name was Jenny, married an Englishman named Richard “Beaver Dick” Leigh. They had 6 children. Unfortunately, Jenny and her 6 children died of Smallpox.

Not only is this lake a great swimming spot but it is also great for camping, picnicking, boating and there are also hiking trails that snake around the lake.
