School started this week for most of the state, but let’s be honest…summer isn’t over yet! Utah’s warm weather generally continues through September. Here’s a beach that you’ll want to put on your list for a quick weekend trip that’s fun for the whole family.

Quail Creek State Park is located just about 13 miles northeast of St. George at 472 N. 5300 W., Hurricane.

Quail Creek Reservoir shines like an azure jewel, surrounded by Southern Utah’s famous red-rock cliffs. There’s plenty of parking here; you’ll pay $10 per vehicle (with up to eight people) for day use.

The beach is typically nice and sandy, with plenty of room to spread out with your beach umbrella, chairs and blankets. You can spend a whole day relaxing by the lake.
