Once upon a time, Cairo, Illinois, located in southern Illinois, was a happening town. But natural disasters, changing economic trends, and social movements, led to its demise. Today, it looks like if the Big Bad Wolf came around and blew on the town, it would crumble, due to so much of it being in disrepair. The abandoned feel of this town adds to its spooky factor.
