We love any chance we get to celebrate this stunning and unique place, and we love hitting the trails and seeing the spectacular Northern California landscape for ourselves.

That’s why we can’t get enough of this short and sweet trail located in Orick.

The Yurok Loop Trail is a short, 1.1 mile loop located near Orick on the Northern California coast. Coming from the south, It is just short of 7 miles north of the Klamath River bridge off Highway 101. From the north it is just south of Hidden Beach.

You will find the trailhead located at the Lagoon Creek Picnic Area in north end of the parking lot.

It’s a pretty trail from start to finish. Stay to the right and you will continue along a short loop that will reward you with dramatic views of the ocean.

Before reaching the lookout area, you’ll hike through a dense forest of Alders.

Beauty surrounds you in all directions. The forest floor is covered in lush ferns that are just as beautiful as the jaw-dropping coastal views.
