Do you think of Northern California when you think of the Grand Canyon? Well, you should! We may not have the biggest one of all, but we do have one. Tucked away in one of the most incredible state parks is where you’ll find it. Seem to good to be true? It’s not.

Once upon a time millions of years ago water began to run through Yosemite Valley. Today this place is known as the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne.

While Yosemite might be one of the most well-known state parks in Northern California, there’s a lot here to see. If you enjoy hiking you might just feel like you’ve discovered a slice of heaven.

This guy here just reached the top and is pretty excited about it. Thankfully, he’s not too worried about jumping backwards. I’d be careful there, buddy.

The meadows below the canyon are some of the most gorgeous in this canyon. The water runs day and night…the best sound of all.

Some parts are more bare than others. If you’re the type of person who loves a desert topography there’s a little bit of that here, too.

What more can we say? The Grand Canyon of Tuolumne is where God dropped the mic.

When was the last time you brought the whole gang for a little healthy fun? Take a drive, then take a hike. You won’t be sorry!

Now, you have a choice. Stay inside the golden state and get your Grand Canyon fill of beauty, or spend a lot more money and take the family to that other one. No pressure.
