As the summer rolls on, the parks, beaches, and trails get crowded. However, if you’re willing to step out in the summer fog for something memorable then keep reading. There is a labyrinth just a stone’s throw from the bustle of the city on a beach.
The Lands End Labyrinth was established in 2004. The Labyrinth was constructed by local artist Eduardo Aguilera.

The path to the Land’s End Labyrinth starts here. This rocky shoreline at the mouth of the Golden Gate, situated between the Sutro District and Lincoln Park is where the views and the main attraction is located.

This art creation made of nature is simple and creative. The labyrinth is constructed simply of a stone outline following the classic seven-circuit Chartres labyrinth.

In 2015, the labyrinth was destroyed, presumably by vandals, it was rebuilt a month later by the original artist with the help of 50 volunteers.

Getting to the Labyrinth requires some patience and trail experience. The easiest way is to take the trail from the beginning of Lands End and take the trail to a small cliff.

The trails leading to the Labyrinth can be windy and slippery, so please use caution.

When you find the rocky beach, you just have to walk the path on the side of the cliff that leads up to the labyrinth. Though, please be careful as you approach the labyrinth.
