As far as lakes go, Mirror Lake is tiny. It’s only three acres, but it may just be the prettiest three acres in the Natural State. Mirror Lake is the result of the damming of Blanchard Springs, which means the lake is constantly spring fed by the cool 58 degree water flowing from the gorgeous Blanchard Springs Caverns. The dam, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, provides a beautiful two-tiered waterfall that’s absolutely stunning. In addition to being a breathtakingly beautiful spot, the lake is also a rainbow trout haven. It’s pretty much the prettiest place in Arkansas to spend an afternoon.
