The Four Corners region is a popular travel destination, but even those who head to northwestern New Mexico intent on discovering the wonders of this area overlook B-Square Ranch. This massive, privately owned property lies on the edge of Farmington. The working farm and ranch contains two astonishing museums that you really do have to see to believe.

Although the Bolack Electromechanical Museum has a somewhat dry name, its contents are unique and fascinating.

The second museum is the Bolack Museum of Fish and Wildlife, which is comparable to world-class institutions. It houses in excess of 2500 specimens – most of them killed a long time ago.

In addition to the taxidermy, the museum also features extreme bones.

The 12,000 acre B-Square Ranch remains fully operational and incorporates a private wildlife refuge that provides sanctuary to 15,000 birds on a permanent basis, and thousands more during winter.

The museum is free but the appointments are necessary, since this is private land.
