Illinois is so much more than the Magnificent Mile and cornfields. Everywhere you turn, there are some fantastic views. So I’m counting down my fifteen favorite views in Illinois:

  1. Cave in Rock State Park provides some absolutely awesome views.

  1. Farnsworth House (Plano) is a great place to visit for architecture buffs.

  1. Chestnut Mountain Resort (Galena) is a great place to come out and ski.

  1. Garden of the Gods (Herod) is wayyyy down south in the state, but it’s worth the drive.

  1. Cahokia Mounds (Collinsville) has remnants of the most sophisticated prehistoric civilization north of Mexico.
