Wet weather has been pouring in New Orleans and southern Louisiana. And while people in Louisiana are used to some street flooding and other issues, what’s been going on in New Orleans is truly unique.

Crews were at the site at the time, digging a hole to fix a 12-inch wide water main break that occurred there.

Luckily, the Sewerage and Water Board was able to stabilize the site and return water pressure to customers.
The 20 ft. wide, 20 ft. deep sinkhole is being caused by a former tunnel.
