It’s amazing to behold human structures that are left to decay. Over time, the elements reclaim them until they are only the bare bones of what they once were – yet somehow, hauntingly beautiful. Linfield Industrial Park in Pennsylvania is one such spooky place.
coia.nac/ Flickr Linfield Industrial Park has sat abandoned since 1986, when it was shut down after over 100 years of use. The expansive park, located near Limerick, last held a packaging facility for ammonia-based cleaners and antifreeze before it was left empty.
pwbaker/ Flickr Throughout its history, though, the industrial park has served numerous purposes; most notably, it was a whiskey distillery after Prohibition was repealed. At one point, its warehouse held the world’s largest stock of aging whiskey, with a capacity for over one million barrels.
