Utahns are huge fans of Broadway productions; when shows come here, they always sell out. However, Salt Lake City hasn’t been able to host some shows because we simply don’t have a theater large enough. That’s about to change. The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater is slated to open in October. We thought we’d give you a tiny sneak peek:
The Eccles Theater is slated to open in October.
Eccles Theater/Facebook The first production scheduled at the theater is “Beautiful - The Carole King Musical. It runs from November 15-20. Other productions for this season include “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas,” “Kinky Boots,” and “Matilda the Musical.”
Crews are busily working to complete the theater in time for its opening season.
