The town of Heber Springs only has a population of around 7,000 people, but there’s big fun waiting for you there. This little town serves as the gateway to both Greers Ferry Lake and the Little Red River, and it’s right next to Sugar Loaf Mountain. In Heber Springs you’ll find world-class resorts, incredible water sports, and some of the prettiest places in the Natural State. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this fantastic little town surrounded by some of the best waterways in the state.

Heber Springs is a planned community, and it was originally called Sugar Loaf. That’s because it’s right next to stunning Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Every year in July, you can find the World Championship Cardboard Boat Races on Greers Ferry Lake. Even if you don’t know anyone who’s competing, it’s an adorable thing to watch.
