Summer’s still kicking it, and the weather is still right for some quality lake time. If you’re looking for a beach that feels secluded, but is actually just a few minutes away from Arkansas’s favorite resort town, look no further than Lake Catherine in Hot Springs. Lake Catherine is one of west-central Arkansas’s five diamond lakes, and it’s the perfect place to have some warm weather fun. There are seventy campsites there, many other ways to stay, and lots to do, but there’s one little beach in particular that captured our attention. It overlooks the lake, and it comes with a pier, a shade tree, a grill, and a picnic table. So no matter what you plan to do with your lake time, this place is the ideal spot.

What could be better than your own secluded beach, with a gorgeous place to dock your boat, a place to grill and eat what you make, and a view that leaves you feeling like living in Arkansas makes you one of the luckiest three million people alive?

Part of what makes this secluded beach so amazing is that you can see civilization happening from across the lake, but it feels a million miles away from you.

Doesn’t that pier look like the perfect place to watch the day go by?

A stroll around the shores of Lake Catherine will lead you to Falls Creek Falls.

Which, if you couldn’t tell from the first picture, is absolutely stunning.

Your stroll may even reveal some wildlife…

Though your little beach isn’t in a designated swimming area, all of Lake Catherine is great for swimming.
