Dating back to 1917, the man-made wonder is known as the Williamsville Castle, Oechsner Castle or Cambria Castle.

Residing on Dream Island along Ellicott Creek, the castle was originally built by a German native who longed to create a medieval castle that reminded him of his home and childhood memories.

A mason who dedicated 25 years of his life to completing this enchanting property to the best of his abilities, Ignatz Oechsner passed away in 1942 without ever having the chance to actually live in this beautiful creation.
