We know about all the natural beauty in the remote areas of Texas, but sometimes man-made beauty is hiding right under our noses in the middle of some of our biggest cities. If you live in Fort Worth, you know how busy it is – day or night, rain or shine, you just can’t escape the hustle and bustle.

Or can you? There’s a place called the Fort Worth Water Gardens that was designed to be a haven of relaxation for people to come to and forget about their busy lives for a while as they get lost in the sound of water crashing down around them.

The gardens were built in 1974 in an effort to create a place where people could escape the hustle and bustle of city life and find peace and relaxation.

I’d say that mission has been accomplished. Wouldn’t you?

The center is called the “active pool” and is often used for meditation because the sound of water crashing down all around you invokes a feeling of relaxation like nothing else.
