The hike begins at the Brasstown Bald parking lot, and then follows along to the Arkaquah Trailhead.

At around the one mile mark, hikers will be able to see the first of many exceptional views overlooking the Georgia mountains.

Overall, the Arkaquah Trail will take hikers to Track Rock Gap, which is an ancient archaeological place still brimming with petroglyphs from over 1,000 years ago.

Since this is a more difficult trail due to the descent, many hikers spend the night along the trail to break up the journey into two days.
