Whether you’re looking for a new place to live or a fun place to visit this summer, here’s a great option to consider. This town in Pennsylvania thrives on its tourist industry, because people just can’t get enough of what it has to offer. As you read, see if you can guess what town it is — and see if your friends can guess, too!
This town’s main industry is tourism, and it has plenty of quirky spots to keep visitors occupied, like this garden shop that is owned by the mayor.

It’s always been full of art; in the early 20th century, impressionist painters William L. Lanthrop and Edward Redfield founded an art colony here.

To this day, unique and beautiful art can be found all around the town, such as this dragon.

And this… other weird looking (but cool) statue.

You can walk along the main street and explore fun and intriguing shops, such as this one called God Save the Qweens.

Though the town’s streets and shops offer plenty to see, there are other things to do here as well, such as visit Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.

The preserve includes 1,000 plant species that are native to Pennsylvania. There are expansive walking trails here, and it is a destination for bird watchers as well as flower enthusiasts.

There’s an annual antique car show that takes place here, which is a funky and fun event even if you don’t know much about cars.

You also cannot, I repeat, CANNOT visit without checking out the historic railroad. The scenic train ride lasts about 45 minutes and is a crucial part of the area’s tourism.

Do you have any idea what town this is yet? Here’s a pretty good hint; the Bucks County Playhouse is located here. It’s the State Theater; many famous actors got their start here, and many Broadway plays were tested here before hitting New York.

Yes, this town is in Bucks County… So you get to wear this shirt if you visit. If you’re not motivated to visit now, I don’t know what would convince you.

If punny T-shirts aren’t your thing, maybe the incredible history behind this place will draw you in. It is said that George Washington stayed here the night before his historic Delware River crossing.

This is the house Washington is said to have stayed in with his troops. You can visit and take a tour.

Also, Aaron Burr was a resident in this town for a time. In case you’re rusty on 5th grade history, he’s the Vice President who killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel. This is a photograph of the event that I took myself.

Do you have any idea what town this is yet? One more moment to guess before I tell you…

The town is called New Hope. It’s located in Bucks County, right across the Delaware River from New Jersey. In 2007, Forbes.com named New Hope the best place to buy a summer home in the U.S… Although in 2015, Coldwell Banker named it the most expensive real estate market in the country. So I’ll just be visiting…
