If you’ve ever been to the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, you’ll most likely agree that it’s one of the most beautiful places in Nevada. Unfortunately, many locals and tourists still aren’t aware of this natural oasis. It’s a shame because this beautiful refuge should be experienced by everyone.

The Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1984, is located within the Amargosa Valley of Nye County. It’s also the largest remaining oasis in the Mojave Desert. This refuge’s purpose is to protect nearly 30 species of plants and animals, including their habitats. Some of these plants and animals can’t be found anywhere else in the world. The Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is part of a larger wildlife area, which also includes the following refuges: Desert National Wildlife Refuge, Moapa Valley National Wildlife Refuge, and Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge.
