With so much to do and so much to see in the beautiful Beehive State, our residents are frequently hitting the road. We may not consider ourselves to be bad drivers but according to reports from the website QuoteWizard, we’d be wrong in thinking that. Coming in at the top spot for America’s Worst Drivers by state, Utah residents might want to reconsider how closely they’re keeping their eyes on the road!
After closely examining two million data points on national driving records, QuoteWizard named Utah as having the worst drivers in our country.

While Utah is widely known for being a state that has strict liquor laws, strangely the Beehive State was ranked Number 9 amongst the Top 10 states for DUIs.
Wikimedia Commons One of the only positive things to come out of this research was that Utah wasn’t amongst other states in our country for having the worst fatalities. So, while our residents may be getting into a considerable amount of accidents, we’re at least surviving them.

Garrett/Flickr QuoteWizard also went as far as to see which of America’s coasts had the best and worst drivers. To little surprise with Utah on its side, the West Coast ultimately took the crown for having the worst drivers compared to the East. Aside from Utah being the worst state for drivers, California came in at the second spot on this list.
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time Utah has been acknowledged for having residents with poor driving skills.
