Brimming with history, French Camp was established in 1812. Today, it includes a museum, gift shop, restaurant, and bed and breakfast. Start your tour of the property at the Visitor’s Center.

Aside from plenty of information on French Camp, the Visitor’s Center includes the Log Cabin Gift Shop. The quaint shop sells a variety of locally-made products, such as sorghum molasses, honey mustard, sweet onion pecan dressing, and fresh baked bread.

No tour of French Camp would be complete without a stop in the Council House Cafe. The menu may not be huge, but it’s packed with delicious homemade options.

Among the bevy of soups, salads, and sandwiches that fill the menu, you’ll find the famous “Big Ed’s BLT.” The massive sandwich includes bacon, lettuce, tomato, and the cafe’s signature spicy garlic mayo.
