I think we can all agree that, although tiny, butterflies are one of the most majestic creatures on the planet. They can be hard to spot in our everyday lives, but lucky for us, places like the Texas Discovery Gardens in Dallas exist to let us get up close and personal with them. This is hands-down the coolest butterfly house you’ll ever visit.
The butterfly house is a two-story tropical landscape designed to simulate the natural habitat of the thousands of butterflies that reside in it.

The lower level has something called an emergence chamber, which lets you get a close-up look at chrysalises and cocoons. You might even see some new butterflies emerge if you’re lucky!

Upon arrival, you’ll be handed a pamphlet with all of the types of butterflies you’ll see. Make a game out of it and try to spot them all!

The gardens hold special events throughout the year, including an upcoming class that takes you on a field trip to a butterfly farm. How neat is that?
