The Eleven Point River begins in southern Missouri, but enters Arkansas in Randolph County north of Pocahontas. The river isn’t yet overdeveloped, so it remains unpolluted and near its natural state. Canoe and boat traffic are low, which makes the Eleven Point River the perfect place to get away from it all.

Whether you’re looking for a lazy hang out on an inner tube or a chance to paddle under your own steam, the Eleven Point River is a great place to float.

The river is spring fed, which means it can be floated year round.

The fishing is also fantastic there. You can find walleyes and small mouth bass.

You may come across the rare Ozark Hellbender. These guys have a scary name, but they’re actually harmless salamanders.

Perhaps the best way to enjoy the river is to spend some time at Shady River Getaways, which is located on the Eleven Point River just outside of Pocahontas.
