To make into wine, of course. Back during the Ice Age period, deposits from the Missoula Floods made our soil perfect for grapevines to grow deep roots for absorbing nutrients.

Washington produces enough mint oil every year to supply everyone in the U.S. with 135 sticks of Doublemint gum. It’s also been measured that it could make into over 3.5 million tubes of toothpaste. Either way, it will make your breath smell amazing.

Sure, you can catch a ferry in New York or California, but the system here in Washington is by far the largest and most extensive. It features 22 vessels that carry millions of passengers around to 20 ports of call across Puget Sound.

The hops grown in the Yakima Valley alone make up for about 75% produced for the whole nation. You’re welcome, America.

The Wenatchee Valley is known as the “Apple Capital of the World”. This area alone produces nearly 70% of apples for the country, to make into pies, sauce, juice and more. In addition, we produce about 50% of all fresh pears.

We’re also the floating bridge capital of the world, with the four longest and heaviest floating bridges. These include the Lacey Murrow , Evergreen Point, Homer Hadley, and Hood Canal bridges.
