This winter hasn’t exactly been mild for residents of New England. Some parts of this snowy region, including Maine, are preparing for what could be the third snowstorm in a week. Here’s more on the upcoming snow system headed for the northeast:

Areas in western Maine, including Portland, received a few feet of snow this past week by winter storm Orson.

And in case that wasn’t quite enough, another storm system is approaching for round two.

With origins coming in from the north, this storm is predicted sweep through the same areas that have already been clobbered by snow.

Predictions estimate that another foot of snow could be added to the already significant accumulations.

Unfortunately, this leaves little time for clean up from Orson.

Starting as early as Wednesday morning, Maine residents may begin to notice a snow/rain mix that could later build up into heavier snow accumulation.
