Buffalo is nestled between two well-known amusement parks to take a splash in: Martin’s Fantasy Island, for nostalgia’s sake; and Darien Lake, for big thrill rides and concerts. But those aren’t the only places to take advantage of in Western New York! While it might require a bit of a drive, we think you’ll find the facilities at this hidden waterpark will be well worth it in the long run. Take a look at this best kept summer secret, and be prepared to have your kids begging you for a visit to Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park!
Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park is located at 5204 Youngers Road in North Java, approximately 45 minutes south of the City of Buffalo.

The water park is described as a “multi-level interactive water playground,” family-friendly for both kids and kids at heart to enjoy!

While the park is on the smaller side in comparison to larger amusement parks, there is still plenty of slip-sliding fun to be had with waterslides, a fort, water cannon, spray features, and more!

While you can’t technically use the waterpark without staying at Yogi Bear’s Campground, there is a way to experience the park for the day even if you aren’t visiting someone with a site.

“How do I get in on the fun,” you ask? Well, let us let you in on a little secret: All you have to do is call the morning of your intended trip and book a “Rustic tent site.” When you call and let the employee know that you’re visiting for the sole purpose of hitting up the water park, they will waive the two night minimum stay.

Sounds complicated, but it’s really not! For just $58 (the cost of a rustic tent site), up to four people have access to the campground’s facilities and everything they have to offer - including, but not limited to, these sick water slides!

The bonus of going to the waterpark at Yogi Bear’s rather than a more well-known amusement park? You’ll basically have the place to yourself! Because there are only so many sites available at any given time, you avoid long waits in line for the rides - thus leading to way more fun to be had!

Along with the waterpark, Yogi Bear’s campground also has an indoor pool with kiddie pool area, laser tag, mini golf, beach volleyball courts, two playgrounds, a giant play field, and more. We can safely bet that you’ll be thankful for the tent site you rented, because your kids are never going to want to leave this place!

Along with the 16,000 square foot waterpark and heated pool, there are also pool games, a white sandy beach, kayaks and canoes available to rent, and a stocked fishing pond. Pack your bags, people. Adventure awaits at this hidden waterpark!
