It can get pretty boring when you do the same date night over and over again. How many times can you go out to a movie or dinner (even if it is a fancy dinner)? Sometimes you can get stuck in a rut and not able to think of what else might be exciting. That’s why I’m writing this article. It’s time to ditch the fancy schmancy dinners and the movie theaters (or at least the traditional ones) and get out of the house for some unique fun together.
- Go digging for mussels early in the morning together when the tide is out and bring them home for a dinner that you can both prepare together.

- Take a dance class together and twirl her in your arms.

- Plan a picnic in the park on a beautiful sunny day. She’ll be amazed at your thoughtfulness and you’ll be happy because she’s happy. Sometimes…it’s the simple things in life.

- Go to an author reading/book signing at a bookstore.

- A drive-in movie is an amazing alternative and a great experience you might not have had before!

- Go foraging for mushrooms together. You can combine them with those mussels for a dish to remember.

- Go fishing. You might say, ‘UGH", but it’s a great way to get out of the city and have some good conversation.

- Go to a poetry reading night at a local place. If you’re brave, get up there and read some of your own poetry.

- Take her hiking in upstate SC and visit a waterfall. We have many to choose from and they’re all magical.

- Visit a winery and take a tour. They’re delightful and relaxing.

- Take her to see the stars. Remember the blanket and thermos of coffee, cocoa, or your favorite beverage.

- Go antiquing. Shopping may not be your favorite thing to do, but the memories that antiques can bring up will have you both talking non-stop the entire day.

- Get physical! Try indoor rock climbing. Go for a little competition or just a fun-filled day.

- Pick a u-pick farm and pick some fruits. It’s great to get out and do things together that bring you together.

- Rent a couple of bikes and see the city or town. A lot of our cities and towns now offer this service and it’s a great way to spend the day with each other.
