It all started with a few baby chicks, then a turkey and a few goats, before the Bradt’s family realized they had a full-fledged petting zoo on their hands.The Menagerie – Bradt’s Mammals and More is located in Alva on a family farm and is now the largest petting zoo in the Sooner State. It’s the perfect place to go for a day trip, so load the kids up because they’ll never forget a day outside with these adorable animals.

Bradt’s Mammals and More is located 3 miles west of Alva, OK on US Highway 64 on the north side of the road. You’ll know you’ve reached the location when you see the circled cedar tree row leading up the driveway.

The menagerie has grown to be the largest petting farm in Oklahoma with over 300 chickens and a variety of farm animals.

They are open Thursday from 1 to 6 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is only $6 per person with each guest receiving a small cup of feed. (Under 2 years of age is free.)
