There is no better way to make a big “splash” this summer than by cooling off in a pool… but do you want to know what is even more epic? Cooling off in this memorable Kansas swimming hole, which Midwest Living and other national publications have named the best place to swim in Kansas.

Located near Scott City, the lovely Scott State Park (which features a 100-acre spring fed lake) hasn’t caught only the attention of Kansans, but National Geographic as well, who named it one of the country’s 50 must-visit parks. The beautiful natural spring lake is home to a designated swim area, sandy beach, large fish, and even space for boating and other water sports. In addition to the picture perfect swimming hole, Scott State Park also features history galore with their magnificent Chalk Pyramids, El Quartelejo ruins (and Museum), original pioneer homesteads and so much more.
